Without your gutters, water can run directly into the foundation of your home, cause leaks and even flooding. Your gutters should be cleaned at least once per year. 1 Gutter Leaks
Look for leaks in the corners of your gutters or even staining from overflows of water. If you have galvanized steel gutters, there may even be signs of rust. Rust is a sure sign that your gutters are beginning to wear out and will develop leaks in the near future if they are not leaking already.
2 Gutters Pulling Away
If you see that your gutters are starting to (or have begun) turning down toward the front, or pulling away from your home, that is a sure sign that your gutters are ready to be repaired and/or replaced.
3 Mold, Peeling Paint, and other signs
There are many additional signs of a gutter problem. Mold, peeling paint and wood rot on the outside of your home near the gutter system are instant signs that there may be a gutter leak.
